Whether your goal is to assist a veterinarian in a clinic, at a lab or with research, an associate degree in veterinary technology from Medaille College’s School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) provides the necessary credentials for you to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) required for professional licensure as a Veterinary Technician in New York State.
Developed from the curriculum of Medaille’s longstanding and accredited program at its Buffalo campus, the Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology is a 70-credit program formatted for the working adult. Classes occur one night a week, and are supplemented with online and clinical work around your schedule, so you can complete your degree without giving up your job.

As a licensed veterinary technician, you can support various veterinary facilities including animal clinics, shelters, animal hospitals, aquariums or zoos. Other opportunities include vet tech positions in animal research and lab facilities, animal health department, pet food and pet pharmaceutical companies.
Medaille’s Associate in Applied Science, Veterinary Technology program satisfies the New York State Education requirements for professional licensure as a Veterinary Technician.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
