Blue Vertical DividerAlumni of Medaille's Veterinary Technology program have a variety of exciting jobs. A few examples include:

Debra Czornohus '98 is a technician in the small animal clinic at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tennessee. She is a "floating" technician which means she moves throughout the different areas of the hospital to work wherever she is needed. Debbie teaches veterinary students to perform technical tasks, fills in for other technicians, and communicates with potential clients. She loves her job and she loves living in Tennessee.

Jody Stahlbrodt '97 works for John Speciale, DVM, a neurologist at the Veterinary Specialists of Rochester. She does radiation therapy, CAT scans, MRI's and physical therapy for animals with neurologic problems. When other technicians in the hospital are off, Jody also works with the dermatologist, ophthalmologist, surgeon and oncologist. She says it's a "cool place to work with the most state of the art equipment."

Joel Thomas '93 works at the Erie County SPCA. His duties include surgical assisting in the spay/neuter clinic, evaluating animals for adoption and working with exotics.

Jane Patterson '89 has pursued her life-long love of horses by working at the Genesee Valley Equine Clinic, a 3 doctor exclusively equine practice, since 1990. As the sole technician, she does everything from inventory control and purchasing to anesthesia and treating hospitalized horses. She occasionally goes out on the road to assist with procedures as well.
