200 FUNDAMENTALS OF MULTIMEDIA
An introductory look at multimedia using photographs, video, sound and
animation. This course will show what the computer is capable of and
how the student can create basic multimedia presentations in just a
short amount of time. Assignments will be given using pre-constructed
modules that will be followed step-by-step. These modules will provide
the students with the necessary skills to compile a multimedia presentation
using sound, video, still images and text. Students will create several
QuickTime movies. Four credit hours. Prerequisite: CIS
115 or basic computer skills. Offered Fall semester (d).
MMS
205 DESIGNING MULTIMEDIA
This course takes a critical look at the various components in multi-media.

300 INCORPORATING INTERACTIVITY IN MULTIMEDIA
This course will provide the students with the necessary skills to create
interactivity in their multimedia presentations. This course uses Macromedia
Director's scripting language which adds interactivity to multimedia
productions. Students will create movies that users may explore and
travel through in the order that suits them best; allow them to communicate
with users by receiving and sending information; use a combination of
animation and sound to navigate through a presentation; script commands
that allow for precise control over text, sound, images, and digital
video. Four credit hours. Prerequisite: MMS
200. Offered as needed.
MMS

MMS
400 INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA FOR THE WORLD WIDE WEB
This course will provide students with the necessary skills to create
interactive multimedia home pages for the World Wide Web using Macromedia
Director's Shockwave, VRML, JAVA scripting language, and HTML. Students

MMS
405 MULTIMEDIA FROM SCRATCH: A DIGITAL PORTFOLIO
Students will design a fully interactive multimedia CD-ROM. Students
will use the skills and knowledge they have learned regarding pre-production,
production and post production to formulate and arrange an idea. Students
will use a variety of rendering techniques: create 3-D models; create
