Veterinary Technician Association
a.k.a. Vet Tech Club   

The purpose of these organizations is not only social, but also to promote interest in the parent organizations, NYSAVT and NAVTA. The Vet Tech Club promotes and maintains a professional image of the veterinary technician and his/her relationship to the veterinarian. This organization also enlarges the technicians' knowledge of necessary skills and expertise through continuing education programs and sponsored seminars. The student chapters of NYSAVT and NAVTA raise the standards of integrity, courtesy and honesty and foster high ethics within the profession. They also serve to promote the interests of veterinary technicians in the state and federal legislatures.

In 1999, the Vet Tech Club was honored with Medaille College's Outstanding Club of the Year Award.
