School of Education

Claudia Conway and students

Medaille's School of Education offers degree programs for Initial (Elementary Education) and Professional (Literacy and Special Education) certifications, providing convenient schedules to best suit your lifestyle.

Our Elementary Education program can be taken in the evening, day, or weekend (day and weekend formats are offered through our Canadian Program). Our Literacy and Special Education programs are offered in the evening.

The education program has been preparing qualified teachers for over 60 years. Our faculty of dedicated and talented men and women are first and foremost teachers. Many of them have acquired years of experience in the field of education as professors and also as working professionals.

Elementary Education and Special Education classes take place at our Amherst Campus conveniently located off the NYS Thruway in Williamsville, NY at 30 Wilson Road. Our Literacy program is currently offered at our Buffalo Campus located at Rt. 198 and Parkside.

Please read through some of our frequently asked questions to get a sense of what students like you are asking us. To learn more about our programs and admissions requirements, contact Kristen Pizzuto in our School of Adult and Graduate Education Admissions Office at (716) 631-1061 or kristen.pizzuto@medaille.edu.
