Elementary Education

Elementary Education is offered as a full time evening cohort over four consecutive semesters. Classes begin at 6 p.m. A day and weekend option are available (offered through the Canadian Education program). Students will take coursework through the first three semesters and participate in student teaching during the last semester for a total of 42 credit hours. Using our 7.1.7 format, faculty predetermines schedules with cohorts beginning in the fall and spring semesters.

Classes that run over the entire semester meet ONE night per week for 4 hours from 6 -10 p.m. Full semester classes meet on Monday or Wednesday evenings.

Semester I

1 15-Week online course and
3 courses in the 7-Week format

Semester II

4 courses in the 7-Week format

Semester III

1 course in the 15-Week format and
2 courses in the 7-Week format

Semester IV

The final semester consits of two parts:
15 Weeks of Student Teaching and
Your final Thesis
