Student and Alumni Testimonials

Here's what some of our alumni have to say about the master of arts in mental health counseling program.

Stacey Hassett

Michele Bauman

Michele BaumanI started my career in mental health over twenty years ago. During that time I raised my family to include caring for my four children. It was always a dream to advance my education, but never a reality. One day I opened the paper and read about a new program. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor could be earned by one weekend a month study. One weekend a month was something I could do while continuing in my life roles.

Now, one year into the program, I am halfway to achieving a life's dream. Medaille College has been welcoming and understanding of the adult learner. My cohort has been my inspiration and support through this journey. The instructors are knowledgeable and share their wealth of experience with their students.

My children asked me as follows: "Mommy do we get to see you graduate?" Pausing for a minute to realize that was me, I replied "Yes." Thank you Medaille college for this life changing opportunity

Katie Miller

Assistant Director of PACT (Parent and Child Trauma Program)
Hopevale Inc.

Katie MillerThe Medaille Mental Health Counseling Program has propelled my career at a remarkable speed. Within 20 days of finishing my last class I was employed as a trauma therapist, then promoted to the Assistant Director of that program within 6 months. The MHC program's unique hands on approach prepared me for the true counseling experience. The post graduate experience has been exceptional as well. Professors have continued to be available to me as resources offering assistance whenever possible. I could not have chosen a more thorough program to invest in for myself. I have been profoundly satisfied with the education I have received from Medaille College.
