Charles Moran is the chair of the board of trustees and the president and chief operating officer of Delaware North Companies – a “global leader in hospitality and food service.” A native of Buffalo, Moran began his tenure at Delaware North in 1992 as a vice president of finance and was promoted to the company’s top operations job in 2004.

Stuart Angert retired as the chief executive officer of Fiserv Automotive in 2006, a position he had held since 1991. Since retiring, Angert has provided his business expertise and entrepreneurial skills to the boards of directors and trustees of several local organizations and the advisory councils of a number of WNY-based institutions.

 

Stephen L. Cicchinelli '98
Director of Operations, NY-Long Island, Verizon Communications, Inc.

Stephen Cicchinelli is the director of operations for Verizon Communications in the Long Island, N.Y. region. Cicchinelli has served with Verizon Communications for more than 25 years, heading up the company’s Online Consumer Technical Support Centers in Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune, India prior to taking on his most recent role.

Lawrence Costa is the executive vice president of business development at Capital Management Services. Prior to joining CMS, Costa served as vice president of sales and marketing with various organizations in the telecommunications industry and owned and managed his own business, Costa Communications.

David Elias is a principal at the Pittsford-based investment firm Alesco Advisors, where he has worked for more than 35 years. He is regularly consulted as an investment expert by news organizations and serves on the dean’s councils at Harvard University and the University of Chicago.

 

Kent P. Frey

Kent Frey is the president of Frey Electric Construction Co., Inc. Prior to his present role, Frey held numerous positions within Frey Electric beginning in the accounting department and quickly moving through the ranks. Beyond his work at Frey Electric, Frey served with numerous electrical contractors over the course of five years in the I.B.E.W. Local #41’s Apprentice Program . He is currently involved with a variety of local and national nonprofit organizations including the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.

Dr. Peter Freyburger is the founder and managing veterinarian of the Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic in Tonawanda. Beyond his veterinary practice, Dr. Freyburger is an author, his first work being the 2009 book VETTING: The Making of a Veterinarian.

Dr. Juanita Hunter is a registered nurse and a dedicated patient-advocate and community builder. Now retired, Hunter earned advanced degrees in community nursing and curriculum development from the University at Buffalo and joined their faculty in 1978, after serving as a public health nurse coordinator with the Veterans Administration.

 

Richard T. Jurasek, Ph.D.

Dr. Richard Jurasek has served as the president of Medaille College since 2007. Prior to joining Medaille, Dr. Jurasek was the executive vice president of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. At Antioch, Dr. Jurasek was responsible for overseeing admissions, financial aid, academic affairs, student affairs and auxiliary services.

Margaret Kafka is the vice president of corporate services with Merchants Insurance Group. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Kafka dedicates time to serving the larger Buffalo community and was presented with a Pathfinders Award in 2003 for her civic engagement.

Robert LaMastra is the president and owner of Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo. LaMastra has more than 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. His family owned dealership has been in business since 1933. He served as the chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association 20 Group in 2011.

 

Michael J. Moley '07
Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer, Catholic Health System
Term: 2012-2016

Michael Moley joined Catholic Health System in 2004 and currently serves as the corporation's Chief Human Resource Officer. Prior to joining Catholic Health, Moley held the position of Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Dunlop Tire Corporation and Goodyear Dunlop Tires of North America. Moley is a founding member of the Accountability Committee of the Health Science Charter School in Buffalo and a member of Medaille's Leadership Management Council, among other philanthropic endeavors.

 

James K. Morrell

James K. Morrell currently serves as the manager of planning for the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority (NFTA) and the chair of the Buffalo Planning Board. Prior to his current position, Morrell held positions on the board of the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers and served as the chair of the Taste of Buffalo.

 

William H. Pearce, Jr.
President and Chief Executive Office, Pearce & Pearce Co., Inc.

William Pearce, Jr. is the president and chief executive officer of Pearce and Pearce Company, Inc., a Buffalo-based real estate investment and management firm. Beyond his involvement with Medaille, Pearce has also served on many WNY non-profit boards.

 

Darius G. Pridgen '07
Pastor True Bethel Baptist/ Ellicott District Councilman

Darius Pridgen is the senior pastor of True Bethel Baptist Church and a member of the Buffalo Common Council representing the Ellicott District. A Medaille graduate, Pridgen serves as a community leader within the city of Buffalo and has spent his career advocating for the less fortunate. Based on the recommendation of Commissioner Denise O’Connell, Pastor Pridgen was appointed to serve on both State and Federal Juvenile Justice Boards.

Heidi Raphael serves as the vice president of corporate communication for Greater Media, Inc. In her capacity as vice president, she oversees all aspects of communications, branding and marketing for the organization. With nearly 20 years of experience in the field, Raphael is recognized as one of the most influential figures in the broadcast industry.

 

Robert Stevenson
President and CEO, Eastman Machine Company

Robert Stevenson is the president and CEO of Eastman Machine Company, a position in which he has served since 1983. Stevenson graduated from Yale University and immediately began his career with Eastman, working in roles ranging from service manager to Corporate Treasurer. In addition to his career at Eastman, Stevenson has served on the boards of directors and trustees of United Way of Buffalo, InSyte Consulting and the New York Federal Reserve Advisory Board among other local and national nonprofit organizations.  

 

Rocco Termini

Rocco Termini is a managing member of the Buffalo-based development group, Signature Development Buffalo who has been responsible for the development of six mixed-use buildings in downtown Buffalo, the most recent of which is the newly renovated Hotel @ Lafayette. He serves as a guest lecturer at both the University at Buffalo and Medaille College. Termini also serves on the boards of directors and trustees of a variety of local nonprofit organizations, including Buffalo Downtown Development, the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and Buffalo Place.

Donald Tomasulo is currently the director of results at Entercom Communications Corporation. A Medaille graduate, Tomasulo has served in the radio industry for more than 20 years, beginning in advertising and promotion for Festival East Concerts.

Michael K. Walsh is currently the executive vice president of the Walsh Duffield Companies, Inc. He has been a trustee at Medaille since 1996 and also serves on the Boards of Child and Family Services, YMCA Buffalo/Niagara, Nichols School and Child & Family Services Foundation. 

 

Joseph E. Wolfson

Joseph Wolfson is the president and chief executive officer of the Health Transaction Network. Wolfson has more than 30 years of experience in business-building and entrepreneurship, particularly within the electronic banking industry. Wolfson founded and led the nation’s first electronic banking network, Metroteller Network, in 1974 and has since continued to promote the success of both the corporations and communities with which he is involved.
