Grant Proposal Process
The Medaille College Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (OCFR) should always be notified if you intend to submit a grant proposal to any funding source. The OCFR should also always have a copy of a submitted proposal, and be involved in overseeing an awarded grant.
This is important for a two major reasons:
- it avoids duplication of proposals;
- some funding sources only allow submissions from an organization once during a certain time period (even up to a few years!).
Therefore, we need to make sure it is the appropriate time/project to address that particular source for support.
In general, the grant process should be as follows:
Project Idea
↓
Dept. Head Approval
↓
Division Head Approval
↓
VP for Academic Affairs Approval (When Necessary)
↓
President's Approval (When Necessary)
↓
Grant Project Authorization Form Signed by above parties
↓
Submit completed Grant Project Authorization Form to OCFR
↓
Develop Proposal with the Support of OCFR (When necessary)
↓
Research Funding Sources
↓
Submit Proposal
All Grants Must Be Submitted by the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
