Validation stickers will be issued for updating IDs with a Teal sticker for ID card.
Every student, faculty or staff member’s personal vehicle parked on Campus or at the Buffalo Zoo lot must display a valid coded parking permit. These permits may be picked up at the Campus Public Safety Office located at 2 Agassiz Circle.
Anyone parking on the Medaille campus should review the complete Parking Policy.
Prior to the issuance of any parking permit, an application (vehicle registration card) needs to be filled out. A valid driver’s license and vehicle registration must be presented, and students must also present a student class schedule (students only) to obtain a parking permit.
If for any reason you do not have your regular vehicle or you have a guest on Campus, please stop by the Public Safety Office and obtain a temporary parking permit.
Certain students are required to park at Medaille’s zoo parking lot and are shuttled back by the NFTA bus. It is also very important that all expired parking permits are removed from your vehicle. Vehicles must not have any sticker attached to their front windshield, aside from valid registration and inspection stickers. This is a New York State regulation.
Also important to note, permits are free of charge and required for parking on Campus as well as at the Zoo lot. Vehicles without a permit will be subject to a parking summons.
- Parking permits are valid in any legal parking space on Campus which is not specifically marked for some other purpose.
- Vehicles parked in handicapped spaces must display a New York State Handicap plate or hanging permit.
- Vehicles must park inside the clearly marked parking spaces. Vehicles occupying more than one parking space or parked diagonally will be ticketed.
- Parking is not permitted in areas marked “Delivery,” “Loading Zone” or “Commercial Vehicles Only,” “No Standing,” “No Parking,” and “No Overnight Parking 11 p.m.-7 a.m.,” near fire hydrants or in Fire lanes or on the grass.
- Vehicles illegally parked may be towed at the owners’ expense. This will include the parking summons, the tow and storage charge.
- All bicycles are to be locked in bike racks. Bicycles are not permitted in any of the buildings. Individuals are responsible for securing their own bicycles.
Bus Shuttle Information
A circulator shuttle is provided through the NFTA for first-year and incoming students with a green parking permit.
