Medaille College offers each of these unique experiences to assist students in discovering the value of a Medaille College education by becoming a student for a day. Attending one of these visits will bring students that much closer to making a well-informed decision on finding the right college that fits their needs!

What will I need to bring? You should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, personal items, a change of clothes, and anything else you would need for an overnight stay.

 

Schedule:

Day 1 (Wednesday)

5-6 p.m. Check-in: Main Building Lobby with refreshments (parents welcome!) Staff/faculty/parents/student mingle
 
6-8:30 p.m. Student activity and dinner
 
8:45 p.m. Students return to rooms for the evening.

Day 2 - Shadow Day (Thursday)

8:30-9:20 a.m. Breakfast
 
9:30 a.m.–12:35 p.m. Class sessions arranged by major
 
12:35-2:00 p.m. Luncheon and curriculum presentations (parents welcome!)
 
2:00 p.m. Students depart from campus; campus tours available (advance notification required)

Shadow Days

Planning on commuting to campus?  Experience a day of real classes and see for yourself what current students are learning in your major!  Shadow days will resume again in the fall for prospective high school seniors.  Please call our office at 716-880-2200 should you have any quetions.

Schedule:

8:30-9:20 a.m. Check in/Breakfast - Parents drop off students
Out of respect for the faculty and our students, please arrive by 9 a.m. as these are real classes that must begin on time
 
9:30 a.m.-12:35 p.m. Class sessions arranged by major
 
12:35-2:00 p.m. Luncheon and curriculum presentations (parents welcome!)
 
2:00 p.m. Students depart from campus; campus tours (advance notification required)

Please note: Space for the Overnight Visits and Shadow Days is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals who need assistance due to any physical limitations should contact the Office of Disability Services at (716) 880-2391.

What is the cost for this event? There is no cost to attend and participate in any of the Overnight Visit/Shadow Day events. Meals and activity expenses will be covered by Medaille.

I'm grateful for the education I've received.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
