As an active partner in Greater Buffalo GEAR UP, the Medaille
College GEAR UP program, now in its eighth year, improves the
ability of low income youth to prepare for college, graduate from high
school and earn post-secondary degrees. Through the program, low
income and at-risk youths are motivated to stay in school and take
rigorous courses to prepare themselves for success at post-secondary
institutions.
GEAR UP promotes improvement in a number of student success factors, including enrollment in college prep courses, school attendance, student retention rate and parental involvement.
