Bill Collins and Larry Quinn, are playing a major role in the development of Buffalo’s waterfront as members of the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC). The ECHDC’s vision is to revitalize the waterfront and restore economic growth to our city, based on the region’s legacy of pride, urban significance and natural beauty.
Collins serves as chairman of the Medaille College board of trustees, and is chair of the ECHDC committee on marketing-communications.

Quinn, a Medaille board member, serves as the vice-chairman of the corporation.
Robby Takac ‘86, a new member of the board of trustees, has
made his mark on the world as the bass player for the Goo
Goo Dolls, but he is also committed to the
success of our community.
In 2004 Takac founded Music is Art, a privately funded organization dedicated to keeping the arts in education alive in the Buffalo Public Schools through donations, along with mentoring and instruction from the private sector. There is compelling evidence that arts in an educational setting improves learning, helps concentration and enhances dexterity and reasoning skills.
