Cross Country
2006-07
Allison Carr takes over as the head coach of the Medaille College cross country team. The 2006 season marks the first time that Medaille will have both men and women running for them. Their new leader has an extensive running background as the Penn State grad has garnered the Buffalo News Runner of the Year honors the past three years (’03, ’04, ’05) as well as being named the Rochester Runner of the Year in 2004. Over the past few years Allison has coached at West Seneca West high school as well as at Immaculata Academy.
As a runner she has set several (local and Rochester) course records for distances from 1 mile – 10k; personal achievements include (distance/time): 800m (2:10); 1 mile (4:52); 5k (16:46) and 10k (35:46). Her extensive knowledge of the sport and her personal experiences should be a tremendous asset for the Medaille athletic department.
Allison currently resides in West Seneca where she lives with her fiancé Gary and their sons, Gary and Caleb.
