Keith Koch enters his fourth season as the head coach of the Medaille College men's volleyball team. In his first two seasons he took the Mavs to unprecedented heights, by leading them to the National Final Four in both season. In 2003 the team made it all the way to the National Championship game which they lost to a great Juniata team.
Koch started at outside hitter for two seasons at Medaille College, including the school's inaugural season, participating in the North Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) in 1999. The team finished that season by making an appearance in the finals of the NECVA playoff tournament. Koch was named to the post-season all-tournament team and ranked in the top 10 nationally in digs per game.
Koch began his coaching career at Cardinal O'Hara High School in Tonawanda as an assistant coach and eventually head coach of the girls volleyball team. During his tenure, the O'Hara volleyball team made two appearances in the state playoffs including a state championship. Koch has also held head coaching positions at Villa Maria High School and with several AAU club volleyball teams.
Koch has earned his undergraduate and Master's degree's from Medaille College.
Keith and his wife, Christine, reside in Lancaster with their daughter Keira.
