Women's Bowling

2007-2008 Overview

The Medaille College women's bowling team had a successful year in 2007-2008. They finished with an  (8-2) record and defeated local power ECC to win The Hawk Invitational hosted by SUNY-IT. That would be the first tournament win school history.  The Lady Mav's had strong support from captain Kimmi Wangler and Alyssa Neglia. Both ladies were voted on the all tournament team at the Hawk Invitational. Alyssa had the high game this season with a  (277) game. The Lady Mavs also received steady performances from Laura Mauger  who was picked as the coaches most steady bowler this year The ladies competed at tournaments all over the North East.
All ladies will be returning for next season.  The squad should be even stronger with the addition of Becca Barton transferring from Mohawk Valley CC and other new recruits. We will be looking to add more tournaments to the Lady Mavs schedule in 2009. The Lady Mavs are coached by Mark Metz who is a certified USBC coach. Mark has 36 years of experience and bowled a perfect 300 game back in 07. They look forward to another super year and to competing for the NCAA Team title in 08-09.
