Women's Soccer
2007 Season Review
(2007 Cumulative Season Statistics)
The women's soccer team continued their improvement in 2007 as they finished with their best record ever at (14-6-1) overall and (6-3-0) in AMCC play. During the season the Lady Mavs enjoyed three different winning streaks of three game or more. With their (14) wins the Lady Mavs qualified for the AMCC playoffs as they hosted La Roche College. In that game standout player, Danielle Radlich (Clarence, NY/Clarence), was severely injured as the Lady Mavs fell to the Redhawks (4-2). Despite that loss Medaille was chosen to participate in the ECAC Tournament for the second time in their history as they traveled to Brockport State to take on the Golden Eagles, a team that had been ranked in the Top 25 throughout the season. The Lady Mavs fought hard but nin the end were ousted from the tournament (2-0). The season saw Radlich become the first female player to eclipse the (100) point mark for a career as she now has (47) goals and (19) assists for a total of (113) points, all of which are Medaille records. For her efforts she was named 1st Team All Region and 1st Team All Conference. Other Lady Mavs that received AMCC recognition were Katie Bush (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) and Koryn Walker (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) who both received 2nd Team honors. While Tiffany Azzarito (Westmoreland, NY/Westmoreland) and Shannon Radlich (Clarence, NY/Clarence) received Honorable Mention nods. The Lady Mavs will look to build on their success in 2008 as they welcome a new head coach into the fray as Chris Lefevre will take the reigns of the women's program. He takes over for Coach K. who amassed a (42-33-3) record from (2004-2007).
