Medaille College will hold its annual Commencement Ceremonies on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo.

As in past years, Medaille will hold two separate ceremonies to accommodate the College’s graduating classes of master’s, bachelor’s and associate degree recipients through programs at campuses in Buffalo, Amherst and Rochester.

Mark Czarnecki  Lois GibbsMark J. Czarnecki, president of M&T Bank Corporation and its primary subsidiary, M&T Bank, will address graduate degree recipients at the afternoon ceremony. Lois Marie Gibbs, founder and executive director of the Center for Health, Environment & Justice (CHEJ), will deliver remarks during the undergraduate ceremony in the evening. Gibbs has been recognized extensively for her work in the grassroots environmental movement, and for her leading role in raising awareness about Love Canal and the hazardous effects of contamination at that site.

I'm grateful for the education I've received.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
