Courtney Grim, MFA, associate professor in the Department of Humanities, has work displayed in the Women Artists in Western New York exhibition at the Nichols School Gallery in Buffalo.
From the exhibition web site:
This exhibition of paintings, photographs, prints and drawings, selected from the extensive collection of Gerald Mead, a noted Buffalo artist, writer and independent curator, consists of work by women artists who currently live and work in Western New York. Many of the artists included are art educators who teach at institutions such as Daemen College, Buffalo Seminary, Buffalo State College, Fredonia State College, Medaille College, Niagara County Community College, Nichols School, University at Buffalo and Villa Maria College among others. Collectively these artists illustrate a wide range of stylistic approaches to making art and exemplify a critical component of the pedagogy of art in this region.
Grim's work is featured along with nearly three dozen local artists.
The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
