Patrick Fazioli, visiting assistant professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011.

His doctorate will be conferred February 1, 2012, from the University at Buffalo. His doctoral work was in the Department of Anthropology (subfield: Archaeology), and his dissertation's title is "Technology, Identity, and Time: Studies in the Archaeology and Historical Anthropology of the Eastern Alpine Region from Late Antiquity to the Early Middle Ages."
