As the New Year approaches, it is once again time for the Western New York community to nominate those institutions and individuals deserving of recognition at the 2012 Founders’ Day celebration.
The Fr. Medaille Awards for Service & Citizenship were created to honor organizations and individuals in the community, as well as a Medaille student, faculty or staff member, with an exceptional commitment to service and a dedication to making a difference in the Buffalo-Niagara region.
Winners in 2011 included: Crisis Services; Chris Kreiger of WNY Heroes, Inc.; and, Khadija Osman ’12.
Nomination forms for 2012 are currently available for both electronic and hard-copy submissions and can be found at the Founders' Day web site. Completed forms are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012.
This year’s winners will be announced at the Founders’ Day Dinner, to be held at the Twentieth Century Club on Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo, on April 24, 2012.
Nominations should be made for those individuals and groups that have demonstrated a clear and continuing dedication to serving the Buffalo-Niagara area. All inquiries regarding the nomination process should be addressed to Evelyn Hamilton, event planner, firstname.lastname@example.org or (716) 880-3368.
The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
