Cheryl Potter, a graduate of Buffalo State University, serves as a developmental math specialist in the Academic Support Center. In this position, Potter oversees student tutors and offers her expertise in increasing mathematical proficiency and eliminating the negative connotations many attach to mathematics. "Math is a subject that causes a lot of anxiety," she says. "I want to be able to reduce and hopefully to eliminate for students."
Jeffrey Siefert, who earned a bachelor’s degree from Niagara University and a master’s degree from Canisius College, is the new coordinator for disability services. This position involves ensuring that the college upholds the standards set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act and provides guidance, leadership and input to disabled students on campus. "Even if you may not have a disability, I can always help out and I'll send you in the right direction," says Siefert.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
