The Future Teachers Club hosted local elementary students from the King Center Charter School. Affiliated with a school-based group focused on promoting interest in continuing educational opportunities in early childhood, King Center selected Medaille as its sponsoring institution this year and will continue to work to further the group’s mission.

During their day spent on campus, students toured Medaille's academic, administrative and recreational facilities as well as the residence halls and listened to a brief presentation on the importance of post-secondary education. Beyond the laudable goals of this group and others like it, an equally important aspect to this story is the role played by the advisors of the students’ group, Tara Lombardo '10 '11 and Jesse Gordon '10, as well as Antoinette Rhodes '05 '11, a teacher at King Center and an active member in the process.
