Students from Medaille's associate, bachelor's and master's degree programs celebrated their work from the past two and four years as they accepted their diplomas at Commencement at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo.
Speakers at the afternoon ceremony included Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and Ann Lesley Diaz, a student in the master of arts in organizational leadership program.

Speakers at the evening ceremony included Amber M. Dixon '90, interim superintendent of the Buffalo Public Schools, and Samuel J. Arnold, a student in the School of Education. U.S. Senator Charles Schumer was also on hand to address the audience.
Over 500 students were eligible to receive master's degrees, and over 400 students were eligible to receive undergraduate degrees. Photos and video from the ceremonies will be available later this week. Christopher Ripley, an education major, also won the Sister Alice M. Huber Collegiate Award.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
