The Project EQUIP Steering Group and the Title III Co-Activity Director have collaborated in the development of Faculty Workshops that will address classroom learning and instructional strategies.  To date, two events, with special speakers, have been planned; we would appreciate it if you would save these dates.  These events are open to faculty and staff. Further information will be forthcoming a few weeks prior to the events that will also include the full day agendas.

Thursday, June 6, 2013
Location: Buffalo Campus, Events Arena
Workshop Speaker:  Dr. Paul Vermette, Professor of Education; Niagara University
Presentation:  Active Learning Strategies in the Classroom

Monday, August 19, 2013
Location:  Jacobs Executive Development Center (formerly Butler Mansion)
Workshop Speaker:  Dr. Robert Feldman, Professor of Psychology, Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences; University of Massachusetts Amherst
Presentation:  Who Our Students Are, Why They Are Different, and Instructional Strategies That Motivate Them

Thank you and we look forward to seeing everyone at the workshops:
Debby Ceppaglia and Andy Yeager (Project EQUIP Steering Group, Professional Development Task Force) and Sam Purpora (Title III, Co-Activity Director)

I'm grateful for the education I've received.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
