Medaille to Host Western New York TRiO Day on March 10
TRiO programs from throughout Western New York will join together at Medaille College’s Buffalo campus for Western New York TRiO Day on Saturday, March 10. Scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Events Arena, the day will feature guest speakers, activity stations and networking.
Congress officially recognized TRIO Day on February 28, 1986, to increase support and awareness of TRIO programs. Since then, colleges across the country have annually celebrated TRIO Day to focus the nation's attention on the needs of underprivileged people aspiring to improve their lives through higher education. Thousands of students and alumni will join together this spring throughout the U.S. to recognize the impact of TRIO on their lives, and mobilize their communities through acts of service.
