Integrated Healthcare Delivery Adjuncts

Medaille College is looking for experienced professions, preferably with a healthcare background, to teach graduate-level courses in its Integrated Health Delivery Certificate.  Courses include: Topics in Integrated Healthcare Delivery, Management and Leadership, Systems Thinking, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Healthcare Finance, and Organizational Change.
 
The College is also looking for experienced instructors to teach in its BBA, MBA and Master of Organization Leadership programs.  Both the certificate program and the three degree programs are offered in an accelerated seven-week course of study.  Minimum requirements are a business-related graduate degree with at least 10 years of business experience.  All of these positions are for adjunct faculty.

Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach

Medaille College, a member of the NCAA Division III competing in the Northeastern Athletic Conference, is seeking applicants for a part-time Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach position.  Duties include practice preparation and on-field coaching, strength and conditioning of student-athletes, recruiting, and budget management.

Teach MBA Courses in China

Medaille College anticipates offering its MBA program to working adults in China beginning in 2015 and invites a letter of interest and current resume from qualified, experienced higher education business teachers as well practitioner business managers and leaders interested in teaching courses on an adjunct basis in accounting, statistics, finance, economics, marketing, global business, management and leadership through an accelerated weekend format.

Assistant Professor of Biology

The Division of Veterinary and Natural Sciences at Medaille College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a tenure track position scheduled to begin in August 2015. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in biology and demonstrated excellence in teaching. SEO Content/ Copywriter

Medaille College is accepting resumes for a SEO Content/Copywriter.  Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the SEO Content/Copywriter the successful candidate will be a conceptual self-starter who is responsible for channeling their talent in order to develop, write, and edit compelling copy for use in key Medaille on- and offline integrated enrollment marketing initiatives. The incumbent will collaborate with senior-level administration and creative teams, serving as steward of our brand voice as it translates to all marketing channels.

• Serve as an integral member of the creative services team; partners with agency members to imagine, create, and deliver compelling marketing campaigns and related communications for the institution. Conceptualize and lead projects and teams, frequently interfacing with and presenting concepts directly to clients.
• Create original content for key integrated marketing materials and campaigns spanning multiple applications including writing for the Web, promotional materials, advertisements, video and other persuasive writing.
• Edit copy originated by academic and administrative units and other sources, maintaining clarity of thought and consistency of voice while adhering to institutional messaging and style.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meets deadlines consistently. Effectively communicate schedule changes to the director and manager of creative assets, and make improvement suggestions as appropriate.
• Collaborate as needed with external copywriting agency.
• Drive Medaille's tone of voice, maintaining consistency across all marketing touch points to reflect the brand positioning and ensure we deliver against our brand attributes.
• Champion best practices for direct marketing messaging and copywriting College-wide.

Part-Time Faculty in Clinical Psychology

Campus Public Safety Officer

Medaille College Campus Public Safety Department seeks campus public safety officers.  Officers will be responsible for providing a safe and secure campus environment for a diverse community of students, faculty and campus departments.

Officers will patrol campus buildings, grounds and parking lots, control traffic and parking as necessary, and provide customer service to the college community.  Their primary responsibility will be to work proactively with the students, faculty, and staff to identify report, reduce, and remove the opportunity of crime and criminal behavior before it should occur.

Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills and be capable of handling and learning a wide variety of tasks.  Two years or 60 College credits preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Successful candidate must possess a current New York State Security Guard License, clean valid NYS Drivers license and certification in emergency first aid and/or CPR.  Previous campus public safety, security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Clinical Assistant Professor, Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology

The PsyD Program, which is designated as a licensure-qualifying program in New York, is based on the practitioner-scholar model and accepted its first group of students in September 2012.

Clinical Director for Marriage & Family Therapy

The Department of Graduate Counseling and Psychology at Medaille College is actively seeking applications for a full-time position as a Clinical Director of Marriage & Family Therapy on the Buffalo, NY campus.  The successful candidate will manage the MFT clinic; teach a wide range of graduate-level courses in Marriage & Family Therapy; advice, mentor, and supervise students as they move through their clinical placements; engage in activities that contribute to scholarship within the profession, including clinical practice; and provide service to the graduate programs, the department, and the college.

Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program

The Department of Graduate Counseling and Psychology at Medaille College is actively seeking applications for a full-time position as a clinical assistant professor to teach in the master’s-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program on the Buffalo, NY campus. This is a twelve-month position. The successful candidate will teach a wide range of graduate-level courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; advise, mentor, and supervise students as they move through their clinical placements; engage in activities that contribute to scholarship within the profession; and provide service to the graduate program, the department, and the College. The sucessful candidate will also contribute to the CACREP accreditation process. An earned doctorate in Counselor Education is required; candidates who are ABD may also be considered if the applicant is near completion. The successful candidate must be either New York State licensed or license-eligible as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and have at least three years of clinical and/or teaching experience at the graduate level in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Experience and/or interest in teaching in an online format is preferred.

The College offers its master’s degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at its Rochester, Buffalo, and Online Campuses, which provide academic preparation for students who wish to pursue licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State (LMHC). The program is designed for working adults, and on-ground classes are offered in a weekend format; the online program utilizes an asynchronous format. Responsibilities will include teaching courses at the graduate level, advising, supervising students as they move through their clinical placements, engaging in professional development activities, and providing service to the College.

Network Engineer

Medaille College is accepting applications for a Network Engineer.  In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for day to day support and maintenance of all infrastructure devices including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco VOIP and wireless systems.  This position will also provide infrastructure support for various devices/systems that are part of the network as well as server and system support.

A BS degree in a related field is preferred and five to seven years work experience is required.  The applicant must have strong communication skills, able to multi-task and work in a team environment.

School of Education:  Full-time, Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Literacy

Applicants are being sought for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Literacy to begin August 15, 2014.  The successful candidate will become part of the School of Education Literacy Program which offers a masters degree in Literacy.  This program prepares graduates to become empowered classroom teachers, reading specialists, and/or literacy coaches/consultants. Literacy faculty also teach classes in reading to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing their initial certification in education.

The School of Education seeks candidates with expertise in reading research and theory, extensive knowledge of the processes of literacy acquisition as well as the assessment and intervention for the struggling reader and writer.  The candidate must possess a terminal degree in Literacy/Reading or expect to complete a doctorate by the fall of 2014.  A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching at.preschool, elementary, or middle/high school level is required.  Successful college-level teaching is preferred.  The faculty at Medaille College is expected to consistently demonstrate scholarly growth.
