International Strategic Relationship Manager

The Enrollment Management Division at Medaille College has a recruitment opportunity available as a part of the admissions team for an International Strategic Relationship Manager. The successful candidate will have a number of responsibilities including but not limited to developing and executes the College’s International student marketing and recruitment strategies with the objective of increasing overall program efficiency and enrollment.  Responsibilities include the development, implementation and analysis of marketing and recruitment goals and the development/management of College agreements with international educational agencies.  This position serves as the primary contact to overseas agencies and provides information about the College and our International Programs. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.  International travel is required.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in admissions or higher education. Additional requirements include proficiency in a language other than English, ability to understand immigration regulations as they relate to international students and develop, cultivate and maintain positive working relationships at all organizational levels. Development Administration Specialist – Part-time

Medaille College is accepting applications for a part-time Development Administration Specialist. The successful candidate will have a number of responsibilities including but not limited to managing daily gift deposits, production of gift receipts, letters, posting and batch reports.  The position reports to the Director of Advancement Services.

The successful candidate must possess oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, financial and statistical record-keeping techniques and a working knowledge of database software.  Three years’ work experience in a general office environment involving considerable computer work is required.  Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge fundraising software is a plus.

Academic Achievement Specialist

The Academic Support Center at Medaille College is seeking a full-time professional to furnish assistance to the students on academic probation and in Medaille College’s Pathways Program.  This position specializes in direct application of strategies and techniques that will impact positively on student performance.  This is accomplished through an academic success plan, workshops, group sessions and individual meetings.  The Academic Achievement Specialist monitors and reports on academic performance.  In addition, the Academic Achievement Specialist will teach two sections of Learning in College (INT101) and assist in the Learning to Learn and Brush Up Bridge Summer Programs.

Bachelor’s degree and three years experience in academic support required; Master’s degree in Counseling, Student Personnel Administration or related field preferred.  Successful candidates should demonstrate effective communication and counseling skills, ability to present materials to groups in a workshop setting, and have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and the Internet. Experience working with a diverse student population is desired.

Site Coordinator (Albion Correctional Facility)

Medaille College is seeking a site coordinator for 30 hours/week, including afternoons and evenings, for 3-year federal grant college program for female youth offenders at Albion CF. Duties include on-site coordination of all aspects of program with students, staff, and faculty; student registration and advisement; workshop implementation. Applicants must possess earned bachelors degree; masters degree preferred. Teaching and administrative experience in non-traditional education programs required; work with incarcerated students preferred. Computer proficiency, good communication and organizational skills, and reliable personal transportation required.

Assistant Professors, Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The Department of Graduate Counseling and Psychology at Medaille College is actively seeking applications for two full-time positions as a non-tenure-track clinical assistant professor to teach in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at its Buffalo and Rochester Campus. This is a twelve-month position.  The successful candidate will teach a wide range of graduate-level courses in Mental Health Counseling; advise, mentor, and supervise students as they move through their clinical placements; engage in activities that contribute to scholarship within the profession, including clinical practice; and provide service to the graduate programs, the department, and the College. The sucessful candidate will also contribute to the CACREP accreditation process. An earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a related field is required; candidates who are ABD or have exceptional related experience may also be considered. The successful candidate must be either New York State licensed or license-eligible as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and have at least three years of clinical and/or teaching experience at the graduate level in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Experience and/or interest in teaching in an online format is preferred.

The College offers its master’s degree program in Mental Health Counseling at its Buffalo and Rochester Campuses, which provide academic preparation for students who wish to pursue licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State (LMHC). The program is designed for working adults, and classes are offered in a weekend format. Assistant Director of Admissions

The Enrollment Management Division at Medaille College has a recruitment opportunity available as a part of the admissions team for an Assistant Director of Admissions at the Rochester Campus.  The successful candidate will have a number of responsibilities including but not limited to recruiting qualified prospective students; attending  college fairs and other related activities; reviewing and evaluating prospective student applications; effectively managing an individual territory including recruitment travel, prospective student interviews, and group sessions; manages ongoing communication with prospective students and their families; acting as a liaison to other departments and programs; building recruitment plans in new areas and building on past success in established areas; maintaining territorial management follow-up (phone calls, emails, other written communication etc.). Integrated Healthcare Delivery Adjuncts

Medaille College is looking for experienced professions, preferably with a healthcare background, to teach graduate-level courses in its Integrated Health Delivery Certificate.  Courses include: Topics in Integrated Healthcare Delivery, Management and Leadership, Systems Thinking, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Healthcare Finance, and Organizational Change.
 
The College is also looking for experienced instructors to teach in its BBA, MBA and Master of Organization Leadership programs.  Both the certificate program and the three degree programs are offered in an accelerated seven-week course of study.  Minimum requirements are a business-related graduate degree with at least 10 years of business experience.  All of these positions are for adjunct faculty.

Clinical Assistant Professor, Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology

Medaille College is actively seeking applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor to teach in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology (PsyD). Network Engineer

Medaille College is accepting applications for a Network Engineer.  In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for day to day support and maintenance of all infrastructure devices including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco VOIP and wireless systems.  This position will also provide infrastructure support for various devices/systems that are part of the network as well as server and system support.

A BS degree in a related field is preferred and five to seven years work experience is required.  The applicant must have strong communication skills, able to multi-task and work in a team environment.

School of Education:  Full-time, Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Literacy

Applicants are being sought for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Literacy to begin August 15, 2014.  The successful candidate will become part of the School of Education Literacy Program which offers a masters degree in Literacy.  This program prepares graduates to become empowered classroom teachers, reading specialists, and/or literacy coaches/consultants. Literacy faculty also teach classes in reading to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing their initial certification in education.

The School of Education seeks candidates with expertise in reading research and theory, extensive knowledge of the processes of literacy acquisition as well as the assessment and intervention for the struggling reader and writer.  The candidate must possess a terminal degree in Literacy/Reading or expect to complete a doctorate by the fall of 2014.  A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching at.preschool, elementary, or middle/high school level is required.  Successful college-level teaching is preferred.  The faculty at Medaille College is expected to consistently demonstrate scholarly growth.
