Reading Clinic
Medaille's Reading Clinic is open to all students grades K-6 in the Buffalo area. Our clinic is staffed by graduate students working towards a master's degree as Literacy Specialists. Tutors work one-on-one with students, first asssessing and then analyzing assessment materials to provide the most prescriptive instruction possible.
We work with children in grades Kindergarten through 6. Participants may need either intensive instruction, or just a semester of support. We focus on word recognition skills (including decoding using phonics), word meanings (through vocabulary development), reading fluency, comprehension and writing skills and strategies.
Students receive individualized instruction designed to meet their distinct needs. Medaille's Reading Clinic runs for 12 week sessions in the fall and spring semesters and a 7 week session in the summer. Days and times are listed in the application.

Pre-registration rates are reduced for early applications.
$50 one child pre-pay; $60 regular rate
$75 two children pre-pay; $85 regular rate
$115 three children pre-pay; $125 regular rate

Clinic fees: $50 one child, pre-pay $60 (after May 1) $75- two children ($85 after May 1) $115- three children ($125 after 1/08).
Please submit application and allow 2-3 weeks for acceptance letter. Once a letter of acceptance is mailed to you, you will be given information about registration and fee deadlines. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be due at time of registration. Thank you.

The Reading Clinic is located in 119 Huber Hall on Medaille College's Main Campus, located at Rt. 198 and Parkside in North Buffalo.
