Remember coming to college with an open mind is one of the greatest experience you will ever have. My best advice for Medaille students is to get involved with an on or off campus activity. Enjoy your school year!

 Jacob Conde

Hi, my name is Jacob Conde and I will be the 1st floor RA for the 2012-2013 year. I’m an incoming Junior at Medaille. I am also a Communications major.
Something’s you might want to know about me is I am on the Medaille Soccer team and have played soccer since I was 5. Although the only sport I play at Medaille is soccer I’m watch a lot of other sports. I am a die-hard NY Jets fan and I am also a Denver Nuggets fan. I was born and raised in Hartford Connecticut so when it comes to college basketball of course I’m a UCONN Huskies fan. I come from a big family where I have 1 brother 1 sister 3 step brothers and 1 step sister. I love to travel and one day I plan to travel all of Europe and see what else the world has to offer. Everyone would love to be a professional athlete but if soccer doesn’t work out for me, I want to make commercials and one day be a sports news anchor for ESPN.  Seeing how I have done two years away from home, I know what it’s like to be away from family and friends and have to make new friends. So don’t ever hesitate to knock on my door if you ever need to talk or if you are homesick or anything of that nature. I am one of the most laid back down to earth people you will probably ever meet. So let’s make this first year a great one and one to remember.

Medaille is a smaller school, so I get to see my friends everyday and I’m able to build closer relationships with the professor’s. I love living in the dorms because  a) I get to sleep in instead of having to drive to school  b) living on my own gives me a satisfactory sense of independence and c) I LIVE WITH MY FRIENDS! Nothing better than that :)

Welcome to new and returning residents and I hope all residents have a great year!

This is my second year at Medaille and I am majoring in Education, with a concentration in English. My favorite part about attending Medaille is the class size! I like that the classes aren’t huge, and you have a one on one connection with your professors. My favorite part about living in the dorms is that you truly bond with your neighbors and people throughout the floors. You definitely make a lot of friends and connect with one another. Some of my hobbies are spending time with family, friends, traveling, and dancing! My favorite animal in the world are owls. My door is always open, so feel free to stop by! I look forward to a great year.

I completed my AS in Vet Tech and received my technician’s license in the summer of 2011. Now I am finishing my BS in Biology. I am an orientation leader and a member of Resident Student Council (RSC) and Life Sciences Club (LSC). I am also the Assistant Kennel Supervisor this year! Basically, I am quite involved on campus, and I love every minute of it. You should definitely try out something new, take the chance, and get involved because it really makes the most out of your experience at Medaille! I love to meet new people and get to know them, so feel free to stop by and say hi; and if you ever need a hand with something, just ask! I am from Rochester, but I spend most of my time on campus so I'll see you around!

I'm grateful for the education I've received.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
