Hello! I'm Rand Hurrle, Graduate Residence Coordinator for North Hall and the Humboldt Residence Houses.
It's my goal, as the Graduate Residence Coordinator at Medaille College, to continue building excellent relationships with students, faculty, and staff and make it a successful year for everyone in the Medaille family. I've decided to come to Residence Life because I want to love what I do, and I believe that college life is more than the transfer of academic knowledge (which is also very important - so keep those grades up!). It's your chance to "test the waters" of the real world and develop into the person you want to be. There are many opportunities to do so, and in fact I invite any residents who may be interested in getting involved on campus to contact me or Sarah Frank so that we can further discuss how you can contribute to RSC!
A little about me: I am originally from a very small town tucked away in the middle of the Appalachian Mountain Range in Northern Pennsylvania called Eldred. I've earned my Bachelor's degree in Communications from Edinboro University and worked in the Orientation Department. I was able to do a lot of wonderful fun things while at college, such as produce a reality television show, take up fencing, play all sorts of intramural sports, and get some great student leadership experience in Student Government. I hope you find your way out of the classrooms, and get involved on campus. You've got 4 years, so make sure you get the most out of them!! Now, I am currently finishing my Master's Degree in Student Personnel Administration at Buffalo State College.
I've a very eclectic range of things I dig doing which include: Acoustic Guitar, watching comedies, Motorcycling, playing poker with a celebrity (but you'll have to ask me who), and Martial Arts to name a few. Feel free to strike up a conversation about any of these topics, and you'll have my ear. You can find me in my office just inside the front doors of the North Residence Hall.
