Awarded to an adult student seeking a bachelor's or master's degree who is currently enrolled in the Accelerated Learning Program in Amherst or Rochester. You will be required to submit a copy of your resume and a 250-500-word essay outlining what earning your degree will mean to you and why you should be chosen to receive this scholarship.
*Allen Lee Downing Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Allen Lee Downing, a 26 year old ALP student who left an indelible impression on those with whom he came in contact, this scholarship is awarded to students aspiring to become leaders in the business world, with a strong passion for and commitment to the service of others. ALP and Buffalo campus students are eligible to apply. You will be required to submit a 250-500-word essay explaining your short-term and long-term educational goals as well as your involvement in community activities.
*Margaret Kafka '90 Women Aspire Scholarship
Awarded to a female non-traditional age student with financial need for whom a college degree will be a life altering achievement. Women enrolled in the ALP program are eligible to apply. You will be required to submit a copy of your resume and a 250-500-word essay outlining what earning your degree will mean to you and why you should be chosen to receive this scholarship
Dr. Susan Bokman Leitzan Memorial Scholarship
Established in honor of Dr. Sue to ensure that her passion for animals and her commitment to the veterinary profession live on, this scholarship is awarded to upper class Veterinary Technology students achieving academic who have completed an internship and have work experience.
*Anna Illuzzi Palano Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of the founding President of the Medaille College Alumni Association Board of Directors and is awarded to continuing students based on financial need, scholastic ability, personal initiative, and participation in school and community activities. All Medaille College students are eligible to apply. You will be required to submit a 250-500-word essay outlining adversity that you overcame to get to where you are now.
*Heidi A. Raphael '85 Communication Scholarship
Awarded annually to an outstanding student currently participating in the Communication Program at the Buffalo campus. You will be required to submit a letter of recommendation and a 250-500-word essay outlining what your career goals are and why you are interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting.
Joseph E. Savarese Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Dr. Joe Savarese's father, Mr. Savarese Sr. who was a career law enforcement professional with the NYPD and later a Public Elementary School Teacher (NYC) for special students in New York City. The scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Veterinary Technology who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need.
Dr. Philip Weber Scholarship
Named in honor of Dr. Weber who was co-owner of the Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic. This scholarship is awarded to second year Veterinary Technology students who are in good academic standing.
*Dr. Francis M. Murphy Education Scholarship
The Dr. Francis M. Murphy Education Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Murphy to ensure that his commitment to instructing effective educators lived on in perspective teachers. You will be required to submit a 250-500-word essay outlining why you think you deserve this scholarship and what your future goals as a future educator are.
Joseph Petronella Scholarship
Awarded to a junior or senior criminal justice major and is based on academic achievement.
The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
