Triples at Medaille College

Many students coming into housing at Medaille for the first time may find themselves in a triple-occupancy room (i.e. a room with two additional roommates). The Office of Residence Life staff is committed to making the experience for students living in triple-occupancy rooms a positive one and is working on fun and exciting ways to bring a sense of community to these spaces.

Every person in the triple room will have the same furniture amenities (bed, desk, dresser, wardrobe) and internet access as those in double rooms. Students who have desks that are adjoining one another will share one phone line, but will each have separate voicemail boxes.

After the second week of the semester, a “Room Change Week” is administered, and students who are currently in triple-room spaces will be considered to fill any empty spaces in double-occupancy rooms. To be considered for this option, a student would need to complete a Double Waiting List Request Form, which can be obtained from their Residence Director. This list is maintained on a “first-come, first-served” basis and is based on availability.

Photos of a typical triple room layout are available online.
