Associate Teachers
Associate teachers are the experienced classroom teachers who dedicate themselves to mentoring the neophyte student teachers on a daily basis. Associate teachers incorporate a teaching-learning strategy that involves a student teacher’s focus on Planning, Instructing, and Evaluation (PIE). The associate teacher guides the student teacher through a variety of teaching opportunities: one-on-one, small group activities, and large group instruction. Concurrently, associate teachers integrate ideas on classroom management techniques, day-to-day operational tips and ideas such as working with parents, interacting with teachers and other school personnel, and ideas for better instruction.
Medaille College is proud of the commitment and dedication provided by our associate teachers.
