If you are interested in joining the Army, Medaille College has an ROTC Army program that is available for attending students.
Army ROTC is a college program that can pay for school while preparing you to be an officer in either the Active, Reserve or National Guard component of the U.S. Army upon completion of your college degree. It provides standard college classes that focus on the broader aspects of college life and life after college while also teaching basic military skills. Through Army ROTC, you will attain valuable training in leadership, time management, team building, and the keys for academic and life success. Army ROTC is beneficial to all students regardless if they decide to pursue a military or civilian career.
Medaille College has a special cross-enrollment, tuition-free arrangement with other area colleges for students desiring leadership education through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Program.
ROTC commissioning programs typically imply elective classes in addition to required college curriculum, possible funding for your tuition, and an obligation to serve upon graduation.
It is important to keep in mind that enrolling in a ROTC course does not commit you to serve unless you have received a ROTC scholarship, grant, or any other funding.
For more details, as well as scholarship and other financial assistance information on this program, contact the Office of Veterans and Military Affairs at (716) 932-2543 or email Sergio Rodriguez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
