Attractions and Events
Buffalo prides itself on being a small, big city. While large enough to support the sports teams, cultural events, and civic organizations that all major cities have, Buffalo residents often call it the "twenty minute city" based on short commuting times.
- In the spring and summer, Thursdays in the Square bring national recording acts downtown for live concerts.
- Celebrate one of Buffalo's most famous foods - the Chicken Wing - with the Chicken Wing Festival on Labor Day Weekend at Dunn Tire Park.
- Experience Buffalo cuisine with the Taste of Buffalo event each summer.
- Throughout the year, HSBC Arena hosts music concerts and sporting events.
- Unique theaters and performance venues make their home in downtown Buffalo. Studio Arena, the Irish Classical Theater, Kleinhans Music Hall, and Sheas Performing Arts Center present national tours of plays and musicals, as well as local productions.
- The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts and the Allentown Art Festival display crafts, food and artistic works from local artists and craftspeople.
Students and faculty can take advantage of the speakers, sports games, club meetings and forums on the Medaille campus.
