Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
The Mid-Atlantic Region Commission on Higher Education, doing business as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), was formally incorporated under Pennsylvania Commonwealth law on March 1, 2013. Medaille University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and The Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The University's degree programs are registered by the New York State Education Department, Office of Higher Education, Cultural Education Center, Room 5B28, Albany, NY 12230, (518) 474-5851.
The University's memberships include the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities, the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, and The Council of Independent Colleges.
Medaille University has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)
The Associate in Science in Veterinary Technology (Buffalo campus) and the Associate in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology (Rochester campus and online) degrees are accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
Medaille University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). CACREP accreditation provides recognition that the content and quality of the education you will receive has been evaluated extensively and meets standards set by and for the profession.
Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)
The Health Information Management accreditor of Medaille University is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The University’s accreditation for Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in Health Information Management has been reaffirmed through 2025. International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE)
The Department of Business and Department of Management and Leadership at Medaille University has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), located at 11374 Strang Line Road in Lenexa, Kansas, USA.

Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP)
Medaille University is currently pursuing accreditation of its educator preparation programs by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Pursuant to §52.21 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, the educator preparation programs offered by Medaille University are considered to be continuously accredited for purposes of meeting the New York State requirement that all such programs maintain continuous accreditation. The Teacher Education Program at Medaille University was awarded by TEAC accreditation by the Inquiry Brief for a period of seven years, from April 2015 to April 2022. The accreditation does not include individual education courses that the EPP offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.
