About Louis J. Pozantides

Professor of Practice Lou Pozantides, also known as  Professor Lou, for the past 18 years has been a part of the communication program. His wide range of experience includes 20 years as Lou St. James back in the day with his love for old school R&B on WBLK. He also did 3 years of television weather for both WKBW and WGRZ-TV in Buffalo. Professor Lou is an alumni of the Medaille Communication Program along with his close friend, the founder of the Goo Goo Dolls Robby Takac. The entire team of full time and part time professors in the communication and sports program focus on strong mentoring, advising and allowing each student to tailor their interests in the field.  Students come first as seen with Professor Lou’s winning Professor of the Year 7 times and having a 100 percent placement on internships locally and across the country  Born and raised in Buffalo Professor Lou received his BS in communication from Medaille and his masters in education from Canisius.   One thing he always believes in is the success of the program are due to the students and his colleagues.   He is grateful and honored to have both and is now also going to be serving as an upperclassman adviser in the program and an admissions liaison with admissions.
