About the Program
If you're a statistics-minded student looking for a career in some of the fastest growing and highest paid markets, our Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics will arm you with the computational skills and software experience employers are looking for. Choose from two concentrations, data science or actuary, then select electives to further tailor the program to your interests. Data Scientist
Data scientist is one of the fastest growing and highest paid jobs. Students can work as data scientists in a variety of fields, including finance, marketing, insurance, engineering, economics, risk management, quality control, health and medicine. The Glassdoor median income for data scientists in 2016 was $114,840.
Government
Increased government use of data has the potential to deliver services more efficiently and improve the quality of life in communities.
Actuary
Graduates will be prepared to take two actuarial exams.
Graduate School
Students may choose to pursue a higher degree in data science, statistics, actuary or mathematics.
