At Medaille, we know you need graduate education programs that train you for a lifetime of teaching success. Our programs are specifically designed to meet those needs and prepare you to navigate the steps toward New York State or Canadian requirements in elementary education, which leads to certification.

Whether you've earned a bachelor's degree in education, or in an unrelated field, such as communication, business, etc., our master's in education programs are formatted to prepare you to navigate the steps toward New York State elementary school teacher certification in grades 1-6.

Program News

Dr. Riegel Presents at 2021 Association of Teacher Educators Conference

Department of Education Assistant Professor Dr. Caitlin Riegel, the program director for Medaille’s M.S.Ed. adolescent/secondary education and M.S.Ed. elementary education programs, gave a presentation at the national Association of Teacher Educators Annual Conference this summer, focused on tools and tips for teaching in a post-COVID world and the smooth transition between in-person and online modalities.

Medaille College is currently pursuing accreditation of its educator preparation programs by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Pursuant to §52.21 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, the educator preparation programs offered by Medaille College are considered to be continuously accredited for purposes of meeting the New York State requirement that all such programs maintain continuous accreditation.
