Health Information Management (BPS)


The Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) accredited BPS in Health Information Management (HIM) Program is inactive effective as of Fall 2020. The HIM Program is not accepting new students for admission into this accredited program.

More than half of new health information graduates with bachelor’s degrees start with salaries in the $30,000 to $50,000 range. By five years out, one can earn upwards of $50,000 to $75,000 annually.

The New York Health Information Management Association has recognized 2022 Medaille University health information management (HIM) program graduate Matthew Shields ’22 with its Outstanding Senior Student Award. Selection for this annual award is based on superior scholarship, integrity, initiative, enthusiasm and demonstrated professional potential.
