About Dr. Bridgette K. Slavin:
Dr. Bridgette Slavin is currently Assistant Professor of the Practice in History in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at Medaille College. Dr. Slavin received her PhD in Celtic Studies from the University of Sydney and her Masters in Medieval Studies from Western Michigan University. She recently published, “Secret Killing and Magic in the Law of Adamnán,” an essay included in the volume, Medieval and Early Modern Murder, by Boydell Press. Forthcoming publications include a manuscript entitled, Druídecht: Perceptions of Magic and Druidry in Early Irish Texts, for the University of Wales Press, and an essay, “Childhood in the Common Law Courts of Medieval Ireland,” for the volume, Kids Those Days: Children in Medieval Culture, to be published by Brill. Her next book-length project is on the female felon in medieval Ireland.
