Buffalo's Future: The Impact of the Erie Canal

Join our very special guest, author and historian Mark Goldman, along with historian and Medaille Associate Professor of History Dr. Daniel P. Kotzin, as they discuss the tremendous impact of the Erie Canal on the Western New York community.

Their discussion will take us through the early years of its creation and how the building of the canal affected immigration patterns that have made us the diverse region we are today.

This engaging discussion will be followed by an open question and answer session.
