About the Program 

About the Program

Embark on a career based in prevention and problem solving through our proactive approach to criminal justice. Boasting four unique concentrations, you will tailor your studies to Juvenile and Family Justice, Law Enforcement Administration and Criminal Investigations, Law and Society, or Homeland Security and Emergency Management (this concentration offered online). Students will learn how the system truly works and ways to approach issues in a proactive, ethical manner. With an emphasis on cross-cultural sensitivity, you'll be engaged by experts not only in your coursework, but by getting inv olved in actual community issues and networking with police, federal agents and politicians.

What sets Medaille’s bachelor’s degree program in criminal justice apart?  

  • Option to study as traditional full-time undergraduate at Buffalo campus or online

  • Articulation agreements with two-year programs in criminal justice in the Western New York area

  • For transfer students, Medaille’s criminal justice degree program in Buffalo is designed to make the most of previous college transfer credits, and the College recognizes the educational value of and awards credit for many types of life experience related to our degree programs

Which concentration suits you best?

Juvenile and Family Justice

Choose this concentration if you're interested in working with victims of domestic abuse, juveniles, or careers related to social work.

 

Law Enforcement Administration and Criminal Investigations

This concentration will not only prepare you to work in law enforcement, but also help you to move up in the field. Choose this track if you're looking to work in crime scene investigation, administration or corrections.

 

Law and Society

Crafted for the activist, this concentration will prepare you for a career path related to civil rights and social justice.

 

Homeland Security and Emergency Management

Choose this concentration if you’re looking to work in federal, state, or local homeland security agencies such as HSI, CIS, TSA, CBP, Border Patrol, disaster recovery or emergency management or safety coordination and management.
