Final show at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 26

ADDITIONAL Infringement Festival Performance on Saturday, July 27, at 7 p.m.!

Due to popular demand from our veteran students, MST19 has added a special performance on Saturday, July 27, at 7 p.m.! This performance will be an abridged version of our show running approximately 30-45 minutes, presenting a selection of original work from this year's camp. It is presented in association with the Buffalo Infringement Festival. The performance is FREE and open to the public. (Donations will be gratefully accepted.) For more information, please visit 2019 Buffalo Infringement Festival.

Our traditional "Final Presentation" on Friday July 26th (7 PM) will be the usual 90-120 minutes of extremely unusual, unique, original work by our student ensemble, presented in its uncut, unexpurgated, and outrageous fashion as usual.

The show is open to invited guests of the student ensemble, or admission may be purchased at the door for a minimum $5 donation.

Content for both shows may be roughly equivalent to a G, PG, or PG-13 rated movie. Viewer discretion is advised.

Now in its SEVENTH TRIUMPHANT YEAR! (And 2nd year at Medaille College!)

Medaille Summer Theatre (MST) camp instructs and supports young theatre artists (ages 12 to 17) in the creation and production of their own original, world-premiere plays. During this three-week program, students participate in improvisational exercises to generate ideas for short plays. They are encouraged to write their own short script or devise an idea with the support of their fellow young artists. Under the guidance of world-class theatre instructors Jon Elston and Bella Poynton, each play is developed, rehearsed and finally performed at an evening presentation (on July 26th) of student work, open to families and friends.

Respect for bright and courageous students is central to the MST mission. Students are encouraged to explore ideas that are important and relevant to their age group, whether through historically accurate period melodrama, irreverent cultural parody or portrayals of meaningful personal themes. Instructors foster a working environment of tolerance when handling themes that involve ethnicity, religion, gender and orientation. As students develop their abilities to express themselves, MST faculty provide a positive, informative, lively and fun environment in which students can learn, grow as artists and forge lasting friendships with their peers.
