Mentor Students

In 2013, the Alumni Association collaborated with Medaille's TRiO SSS office to create an alumni mentor program. This career development and networking program matches current students with graduates who are working in a career or field related to their academic major, with a goal of fostering an exchange of career-related ideas, expertise and friendship. Interested in participating? Submit the alumni mentor program application today!

Join the Alumni Board

Be proactive in the Medaille community! We are always looking for volunteers who will help steer the Alumni Association in alignment with our strategic plan. If you enjoy planning events and initiatives, and would like to take a leadership role as a Medaille graduate, we'd love to find the right fit for you! Email alumni@medaille.edu to learn more about the Alumni Association Board of Directors or one of its committees.

Assist Faculty

In the years since you've graduated, chances are, you've become an expert in your field. If you have an interest in sharing your expertise with current students as a guest speaker in a class, or as a participant in an alumni panel, let us know by emailing alumni@medaille.edu.

Provide Shadowing, Internships & Mock Interviews

Are you looking for an intern? Consider hiring a Medaille student. There are a variety of outlets to advertise the opening, including our LinkedIn group or on Maverick Jobs. You can also have a student referred to you from one of our departments. We also appreciate alumni who are willing to have students shadow them to see firsthand how a typical work day flows in different types of careers. Our students also benefit from practice interviewing for jobs within their intended fields. You might provide mock interviews and offer feedback on what they did right, and how they can improve in the future.

Scholarship Referral

Nominate prospective freshmen or transfer students for the Alumni Referral Scholarship, and you could save a future Maverick $500 per year, renewable for four years. Qualified students must enroll in full-time undergraduate studies at Medaille's Buffalo campus to be eligible. This scholarship was established to offer alumni the opportunity to do two good deeds at once: help a deserving student achieve higher education goals, while assisting in recruiting an exciting incoming class! Nominate a student now.

Attend Events

There are a variety of Alumni Association and campus events that graduates are welcome and encouraged to attend. We strive to offer a mix of professional development and social opportunities, both of which are great for networking with fellow alumni, and learning more about the Alumni Association. Most events are open not only to current students, but also to alumni, such as the Buffalo's Future professional development series, the Write Thing Reading series, and more.

Donate & Give Back

Just one gift – your gift – can help fulfill the aspirations of our students, our community, our nation and the world. Your generosity allows Medaille to nurture academic achievement among our students and faculty, and to excel with integrity in all our endeavors. Learn more about supporting Medaille.

Volunteer/Refer for Open House

Know any potential Medaille University students? Bring them to our alma mater and show them around during one of our open house events. Or, help us represent the Alumni Association by volunteering to attend an open house yourself!

Student Recruitment

Does your business offer a tuition incentive program? Help your colleagues and Medaille University simultaneously by connecting them with our PTGO Admissions office to find out more about our post-traditional, graduate and online programs. Consider speaking to friends and relatives who may know prospective students, too.

Perhaps the quickest and easiest way to stay connected and promote Medaille, spread the good word by following and interacting with us on social media. Tag @medaillecollege and share a life moment or class note by hash tagging #MedailleNotes. Retweet and share our content with your networks. Let other alumni know when we have events. Tell prospective students about your experiences at Medaille. Post in our LinkedIn group, share photos on our Facebook page, or tweet when you're visiting campus! Let the world know that you are a proud Medaille alumni.

One thing all alumni have in common is Medaille. You become a Medaille alumni ambassador upon graduation, but consider becoming a part of the formal program. We look forward to acknowledging our key volunteers and the pillars of our alumni network. Fill out an interest form, being sure to select which opportunities you're interested in pursuing. We will contact you to share more about the Alumni Association and programming. It's a great day to be a Maverick!
