The New York Health Information Management Association has recognized 2021 Medaille College health information management program graduate Lisa Stana ’21 with its Outstanding Senior Student Award, which is presented annually based on superior scholarship, integrity, initiative, enthusiasm and demonstrated professional potential.
Associate Professor Keith Klostermann, Ph.D., LMFT, LMHC, recently co-authored a manuscript entitled “Deliberate Practice Makes Perfect: Improving Therapist Effectiveness,” in collaboration with clinical mental health counseling alumna and clinical psychology doctoral program student Emma Papagni ’17 and local psychologist Theresa Mignone, Ph.D.
A grant Medaille received through HRSA’s Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program allows many of its clinical mental health counseling students who are completing internships with underserved populations to receive $10,000 stipends.
Medaille has donated over 19,000 gloves and nine boxes of surgical masks to the Erie County Sheriff's Office, along with a variety of surgical gloves, face shields, gowns, goggles and nursing caps, in response to the critical shortage of personal protective equipment for local health care providers. College vans are also being used for food deliveries through FeedMore WNY.
The Medaille College Athletic Department hosted its second annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on February 21, honoring the remarkable athletic careers of four alumni.
