The Medaille College Board of Trustees has elected Lawrence Hatcher to a four-year term, after a unanimous vote of all board members. He will serve as a trustee for the College from 2022 to 2026.
The Medaille community is honored to welcome Hatcher as a new trustee, and thanks him for his service and leadership on behalf of our students.
Hatcher is an assistant vice president at M&T Bank, where he leads the bank’s Identity and Access Management program for all employees. He was selected to join M&T through the bank’s Executive Associate management program, which counts a number of M&T’s senior executives and prominent leaders among its alumni, including CEO Rene Jones and President Rich Gold.
Hatcher came to M&T, and to Buffalo, in 2019, after serving three years as a cybersecurity specialist at Cisco Systems based out of St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to that, he owned and operated two retail storefronts that specialized in the servicing and repair of mobile devices, laptops and tablets.
He holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. There, he was nominated to be a United Way Board Fellow, serving on the Board of Directors of the St. Louis Chapter of the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America. He also traveled to Budapest to help with the Sziget Festival, one of the largest music festivals in Europe, to build a strategy to attract more American customers. His past community outreach includes involvement with the local Chambers of Commerce in St. Clair and Madison County, Illinois, where he led annual charitable drives at Scott Air Force Base and Cell Phones for Soldiers.
Hatcher is a certified National Ninja League coach, a U.S. Soccer Coach and an Amherst Soccer Association coach.
