2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs

For the third consecutive year, Medaille University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Arts in organizational leadership (MAOL) programs have received national recognition on the 2023 U.S. News & World Report lists for best online programs across the country. Programs recognized on the lists have strong traditional academic foundations based on the excellence of entering students, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support.

“This national recognition is such an honor and privilege,” says Department of Business, Management & Leadership Assistant Professor of the Practice and MAOL Program Director Kristy F. Tyson, MBA. “Thank you to the faculty and staff whose outstanding work and effort are critical to the success and achievements of our MAOL program. The recognition is also a credit to the students who choose to further their education and career goals with an advanced degree from Medaille. Their resilience, effort and commitment inspire us all.”

The University’s MAOL program invites students to explore the practical application of organizational leadership and prepares them with expertise in communication, systems thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, creative problem-solving and change management. It focuses on critical thinking, mentoring and coaching, organizational behavior and change, communication, emotional intelligence, team building and leadership development.

Medaille’s MBA program prepares business leaders to take a strategic and analytical approach to management. It focuses on areas like finance, accounting, marketing and statistics, and the program offers project management or organizational leadership concentrations for students who would like to specialize in those skill sets.

“I am delighted to see Medaille’ MBA program once again receive praise for its rigorous academic curriculum, one which prepares students to face the many and varied challenges of today’s business environment,” says Department of Business, Management & Leadership Chair, Professor and MBA Program Director Michael P. Lillis, Ph.D. “The program has gathered a distinguished faculty, a supportive administration and an outstanding curriculum. Together, these elements create a vibrant education experience which really sets us apart. Management is a practical undertaking that requires extensive knowledge in a number of fields, as well as intense intellectual effort. Recognition by the U.S. News & World Report provides a testament to the effectiveness of Medaille’s graduate level offerings, all of which are designed to prepare students for imaginative and responsible citizenship and a leadership role in business and society.”
