Department of Education Assistant Professor Dr. Christine Woodcock has authored a new e-book for teachers, titled Uniting the Science of Reading and Balanced Literacy With Social Justice. She also served as an author for the newly released edited textbook, titled Handbook of Research on Learner-Centered Approaches to Teaching in an Age of Transformational Change.

In response to the current high demand for well-prepared educators, Medaille has developed education programs that make it as quick and easy as possible for prospective teachers to navigate the steps toward certification requirements in New York State or Ontario.

Department of Education Assistant Professor Dr. Caitlin Riegel, the program director for Medaille’s M.S.Ed. adolescent/secondary education and M.S.Ed. elementary education programs, gave a presentation at the national Association of Teacher Educators Annual Conference this summer, focused on tools and tips for teaching in a post-COVID world and the smooth transition between in-person and online modalities.
