The Medaille College Department of Business, Management & Leadership was proud to serve as the supporting sponsor of the National Association of Women Business Owners 2022 Leadership Academy, which was held in Tempe, Arizona, earlier this year. Assistant Professor of the Practice & MAOL Program Director Kristy F. Tyson, MBA, attended the event on behalf of the College.

Medaille’s MBA and MAOL programs have received national recognition on the 2022 U.S. News & World Report lists for best online programs across the country. Programs recognized on the lists have strong traditional academic foundations based on the excellence of entering students, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support.

Department of Business, Management & Leadership Professor and Business Administration Program Director Dr. Michael P. Lillis recently authored a manuscript on entrepreneurship that has been published this April in The BRC Academy Journal of Business.

The U.S. News & World Report article highlights project management as a highly sought after skill, and recognizes Medaille as an institution that prepares project managers to oversee major corporate initiatives.

Business manager and HR supervisor Carrie Grant ’17 credits her MBA education for changing her life, her career path, and the ways she thinks and interacts with others in the workplace.

“It is my goal for students to leave my classes with a set of tools in their toolbox and with the knowledge of how to analyze and tackle problems. While having an MBA may get them an interview or a job, it is what they learn in the program that will make them successful.”
